Cave light
The cave has depth, worms have eyes, and a flare lights the floor ahead in your colour — not only a speed hold.
The cave is a place now. Soft shadows sit under each worm on the floor, the far wall is darker, and a slow shaft of light drifts from the ceiling. Stalactites, wall silhouettes, and dust are still there.
Each worm reads as a creature from across the room: a seat-coloured head with a small bright eye, and the same growing tail as before. Every 3 light still adds a segment, up to 16. Growth, bites, and bumps did not change. Reach is still the head.
Hold Space, or the FLARE button on a phone, and the cave ahead of you lights up in your colour — a bright cone and a pool on the floor — on top of the speed boost and the spores you drop behind. That is the point of a flare. Bots do it too when something good is close.
Same 75 seconds, same points, same heartspore and last call.
