The first bite

A first round in a dark cave can be a lot: eight worms, a clock, lights everywhere. Now your very first round on a device draws a soft dashed line from your head to the nearest spore, with "Eat the light" beside it. If that spore is off screen, a small cyan arrow on the edge points the way.

The line follows whichever spore is closest, and it goes away the moment you eat one. After that it never shows on that device again. If you are still hunting after 25 seconds it fades on its own. The browser keeps that note on the device only. No account, and nothing is sent anywhere.

The round is the same one: seventy-five seconds, up to eight worms, and the brightest light at the end.
